The Series 65 Base Mounted UV Flame Detector is designed to protect enclosed indoor areas where open flaming fires may be expected. The detector has a single UV sensor with a narrow spectral response in order to discriminate between flames and most spurious sources of radiation.
 
This unit is designed to be installed on a conventional detection zone and is designed to be used in open areas where flaming fires may be expected.  The 55000-025 has a UV sensor which is designed to react to UV radiation which is emitted by flames during combustion.
